Founder and Owner
Walter Toller, MSN, PMHNP is a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with training and experience treating patients with psychiatric disorders across the lifespan and across practice settings, from hospitals to outpatient clinics. He graduated from Walden University’s Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners Program as a member of the Honors Society with a 3.9 GPA. He is currently seeking a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Chatham University and is working on a DNP project that involves spiritually addressing the Opioid Crisis. Walter Toller brings to the clinic a spiritual humanistic philosophy of holistic care for both mind and body. He has an abiding commitment to individualized, personalized, comprehensive care for patients. He worked as a nurse for 28 years, he began his Nursing career in the United States Army and proudly served his country for 9 years. Walter is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Walter was born and raised in an impoverished neighborhood of Baltimore city; this humble beginning motivated him to dedicate the rest of his career toward giving back to his original community by helping people deal with their mental health issues and overcome their substance abuse struggles.

Jessica Milone has been practicing nursing for 9 years and has been a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner since 2019. She graduated with a doctor of nursing practice degree (DNP) from University of Maryland School of Nursing. She has extensive background working in adult and adolescent psychiatry including treatment for mood disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma-informed care and substance abuse. She completed a quality improvement project through her doctorate program which involved creating a mindfulness meditation program at a regional outpatient day program for adults and adolescents. Dr. Milone is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. has been practicing nursing for 9 years and has been a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner since 2019. DR. SUNIL D. PARASHAR Medical Director

Dr. Sunil D. Parashar is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and received his certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also an Addiction Medicine Fellow with the American Psychiatric Association. He is an Assistant Professor/Physician at Central Michigan University School of Medicine, and he is affiliated with multiple hospitals, including Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital and Aleda E. Lutz Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Seth G.S. Medical College and has been in practice for more than 20 years. He currently serves as the medical director for Brighter Days Mental Health and Recovery Center. Dr. Parashar is dedicated to excellence and very passionate about providing excellent customer service and overall client care.

JENNIFER ANYIKA MSN, PMHNP-BC

Jennifer Anyika has been a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for the past two years. She has assisted clients with Behavioral Health problems for approximately 10 years. Jennifer worked with clients from adolescence to the elderly in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She managed clients with Behavioral Health conditions that includes Depression, Anxiety, Substance abuse, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, Personality disorders, etc. Jennifer provides compassionate and quality healthcare to all of her clients. Her ultimate goal centers around maintaining a setting where clients can feel at home while in her office and ensuring their needs are consistently met.

Mercy is a PMHNP-BC after earning her Master of Science in nursing from Walden University. She is bringing a wealth of experience from her medical background as a critical care nurse. Before embarking on a career in psychiatry, she took a break from bedside critical care nursing and worked in Oncology Research after earning a Master of Science in Clinical Research Administration from Walden University. Mercy also brings a rich cultural experience from her journey from Southern Cameroons, Africa, to the United States through Belgium where she earned a Master of Science in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Ghent. As a mental health professional, Mercy is dedicated to helping those with mental illness towards recovery.

NICOLE NUGENT GYESIE MSN, PMHNP-BC

Nicole Nugent Gyesie has over 16 years of experience in Nursing, working in a free-standing acute psychiatric hospital. In these settings, her interest, passion, and commitment to working in Psychiatric Nursing and working with Mental Health client systems evolved. Her Nursing journey began in the role of Licensed Practical Nurse and returned to school shortly after to obtain her Bachelor of Nursing degree. Soon thereafter, she became a Charge Nurse and later a Unit Director, overseeing two acute units and sharing her psychiatric nursing knowledge. Her commitment to learning and growing in the field earned her a master’s degree in Nursing Administration and Leadership. She has over six years of experience working as a Psychiatric Clinical Instructor at the University of Maryland and recently joined Morgan State University as a Psychiatric Clinical Instructor. She has a commitment for education and enjoys advocating for patients and clients. Mrs. Gyesie’s passion and dedication led to her most recent accomplishment of being a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. In this role, she adds to the body of knowledge of education and advocacy for mental health awareness in underserved communities. She utilizes strength-based holistic approach in serving the community in her current work in an outpatient setting. Mrs. Gyesie enjoys and appreciates her responsibilities of teaching and supporting future nurses. She understands that her work directly impacts students and the communities she serves.

BRITTANY JOHNSON MSN, PMHNP-BC

Brittany Johnson is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Brighter Days Mental Health and Recovery Center. She holds a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Walden University and is board certified through American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She began her training at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2014. For over 8 years, Brittany has cared for adult patients in a variety of settings including inpatient hospitals, outpatient practices, and corrections. She has dedicated much of her nursing career to serving individuals in the Baltimore City community, which was inspired prior to attending nursing school. “I felt a great connection to many underprivileged residents of the Baltimore City community. I made a promise to myself to become a health advocate within the Baltimore city community to narrow the gaps of health disparities among the underserved population”.Brittany Johnson specializes in behavioral health and treating children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a clinical practitioner, she has gained extensive experience delivering telehealth services patients and educating the community on using telehealth to improve mental health awareness, access to care, and reducing the stigma of mental illness.

Cicely has been a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since July 2021 with 14 years of nursing experience. The goals for her practice include building meaningful therapeutic relationships that improve the behavioral health quality and functionality of patients and their support systems. She has experience working in multiple environments including University of Maryland Medical System, Care first Blue Cross Bule Shield and Brighter Days recovery Center. She obtained her BS degree from the University Of Maryland School of Nursing in 2005 and obtained her Masters degree as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Practitioner in May of 2021. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and dedicated to ensuring that her clients receive the best care that she can provide.
